In this class you will use the fabric kit provided, to learn the 3 different blocks involved in making the Alaska quilt by Edyta Sitar. You can later take these and make them into pot holders or a table runner.
The class will get you comfortable using the Alaska ruler, so that if you desire, you can make the whole quilt.
Supplies needed on the day of class:
- Sewing machine (don't forget your pedal and cord)
- 1/4" foot (if you're not sure about this, bring all your machine feet, & Nancy will help you know which is the correct foot to use.)
- Rotary cutter (can be purchased in store).
- Some like to bring a small cutting mat to keep at their desk (especially for a ruler class)
- Some also like to bring an iron and ironing mat to keep at their desk. But you will have use of the shops iron as well.
- If you have an iron and a cutting mat both, bring both and choose which better suits your needs for the day.
